Alison loves to go zooming in daddy’s car! Look at the face she makes when I tap the gas and my exhaust growls.

Alison’s Grandma and Grandpa bought her a swing that has fish that rotate above the chair. She loves it! She likes to track things when they are moving and has become very alert to moving objects. Now if we could just stop the milk from projecting out of her mouth we would be doing just fine!

Smoking ban! This is great news. Now we are not limited to where we can bring our daughter! You can read the rest of it by clicking here.

Gov. Tim Pawlenty signed a bill Wednesday that bans smoking inside all bars and restaurants across the entire state of Minnesota.

Minnesota is the 20th state to prohibit smoking in bars and restaurants. Violations will carry fines of up to $300 for smokers and permissive proprietors. The ban would start Oct. 1.

The ban also applys to public transportation such as buses, trains, taxis, limousines and transit stops and terminals.

Smoking is still allowed in private homes and vehicles, private rooms in motels, nursing homes and other residential facilities, and ventilated smoking areas in locked psychiatric wards.

Alison is starting to sleep better through the night! She can make it from about 9pm to 2-3am before she needs to eat! It is great, it sure beats the 10pm, 11pm, 12am, 1am, 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am,… feedings.

We have our annual car meet this Saturday. I am excited about this meet because there will be around 30 cars there! Last year we had maybe 15 at the most. We will be doing dyno runs to see where all of the cars stand on the horsepower scale. The only mods I have done to my car to increase horsepower would be the CAI and the new exhaust. I am hoping to have at least 300rwhp this year. I will post pictures after the event.

Last night after completing my late night feeding with Alison, 2:30am, she refused to go to sleep. All she wanted to do was stare at me with her HUGE blue eyes and smile. How the heck could I have possibly put her in her crib when she was so darn cute. We stayed up together until 4:30am listening to the Baby Einstein music CD. It was an awesome experience and I hope there are many more nights when we connect like we did last night. Could you resists these peepers?

We completed the walk today! Thanks for all of your support. Julie did not think that my dog, Steven, would be able to make the whole walk without being carried. He did it! He was as strong as a pitbull! A 6 pound one that is! You can see all of the pictures by clicking here.

Here is Steven walking with the big dogs.

We recently accepted the challenge to participate and raise funds for the newly-merged humane society’s 2007 Walk for Animals. This annual event (and largest animal walk in the country) helps support the programs at five Twin Cities are shelters.

I am asking for your help to support my fund raising efforts and a cause that is close to my heart. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in helping to ensure the health and welfare of more than 35,000 animals annually. The pets in our lives give us a lot. Help me help to give back. You can make your donation (any amount is fine, even $1 helps) online by simply clicking the link at the bottom of this message.
Thank you!
