We have a winner for the baby pool and wow, her guess was right on the money! Nice guessing Margie! Here is the winning guess.
She guessed the following:
Birthday: March 25
Weight: 7lbs 9oz
Length: 22
Time: 5:00 AM
The actual baby specs were:
Birthday: March 25
Weight: 7lbs 8oz
Length: 19
Time: 7:24 PM

I have great news to report; our Baby, Alison Mackenzie, finally arrived March 25! She was 7.8lbs and 19 1/2 inches long. Julie was in labor for 12 hours before they performed a c-section. Everyone is doing well! You can see some pictures by clicking here.

One of the required classes I need to finish my BA is discrete mathematics. I am in week 4 of the 8 week term. I was amazed how cruddy I was at math, but it is slowly coming back. I forgot how much I love math. Call me weird, but it is fun! Don’t get me wrong, when I am stuck on one question for 3 hours I truly hate it. But for the most part I really enjoy math. Last night I learned to solve for nPr and nCr. Woot! Ok it is your turn.
Solve:
There are 15 balls in a bucket. 7 are red and 8 are black.
1) How many different ways can 5 balls be chosen if you want 2 red and 3 black balls?
(must show work for full credit!)

Well, the due date for our baby girl has come and gone. She was due March 17th but failed to appear. I am kind of glad though, because who wants a green baby anyways? Another good reason for her not coming on her due date is the simple fact that her 21st birthday would have been on St.Patricks day. That would be way too stressful with all the booze and “Kiss me I’m Irish” buttons! My daugher will not kiss boys or date until she is 30, ok maybe 27.

Someone at work decided password protect the VBA code in an excel document and forgot the password. After trying many different password recovery tools with no luck I decided to try removing the password on my own. I was successful! Here is how I did it.
1. Create a new excel spreadsheet
2. In the VBA editor set a simple password (ex. 12345).
3. Save the file and exit
4. Open the file you just created with a text editor (I used MadEdit)
5. Copy the lines starting with the following keys:
CMG= …….
DPB= ……
GC= ……
6. Using MadEdit, open the excel file you do not know the the VBA password for
and paste the above copied lines from the dummy file.
7. save the excel file and exit.
8. Now, open the excel file you need to see the VBA code in. The
password for the VBA code
will simply be 1234 (as in the example I’m showing here).
Simply works…
